Mariah Carey's sister sues over tell-all memoir

Mariah Carey's sister sues over tell-all memoir

Alison states that there isn't proof of these claims and that they were both abused by their mother.

There is definite bad blood between Mariah Carey and her sister Alison.

Page Six reports that in a summons filed on Monday in Manhattan Supreme Court, Alison says Mariah never presented "evidence to substantiate" her allegations.

Alison Carey says her sister's attorneys didn't respond to an offer to reach a settlement, and People adds that representatives for Carey didn't respond to a request for a comment.

In the book, Mariah alleges Alison "gave her Valium, tried to pimp her out, and threw a cup of boiling hot tea on her causing third-degree burns" when she was 12.

Singer, Mariah Carey's estranged sister is suing the star for $1.25 million over claims that her tell-all memoir caused vast emotional distress.

As we previously reported, Alison claimed her mother subjected her to satanic rituals and sexual activity at a young age; allegations she previously made when she sued their mother for sexual abuse previous year. Along with that, Alison Carey alleges that their mother made her engage in sexual activity and satanic rituals at a young age.

Alison is seeking "an amount no less than $1.25 million compensation for the intentional infliction of huge emotional distress caused by defendant's heartless, vicious, vindictive, despicable and totally unnecessary public humiliation of defendant's already profoundly damaged older sister". In stories published several weeks prior to the release of her book, defendant was quoted as saying plaintiff is "damaged" and 'very broken.' But despite that, defendant user her status as a public figure to attack her penniless sister, generating sensational headlines describing her lurid claims to promote sales of her book.
