Many have been speculating about Meghan Markle's political career ever since she and Prince Harry cut off ties with the British royal family and moved to the US.

In the image, Harry is sitting in grass while Meghan lays her head in his lap, her hand resting on her bump.

In May of 2019, the couple welcomed their first child, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor.

The couple says, "We can confirm that Archie is going to be a big brother. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are overjoyed to be expecting their second child", the announcement said, per Harper's Bazaar. Additional details about the forthcoming child haven't been shared, according to E Online.

The photo was taken remotely by Misan Harriman, a photographer and friend of the couple who congratulated them on Instagram for growing their family.

The couple's announcement also came with a handsome black-and-white photo of Harry and Meghan.

Past year baby loss charities applauded Meghan Markle for providing a "vital step in breaking down that stigma and shame" around miscarriage after she revealed the "unbearable grief" she suffered after losing her second baby.

The reason has remained under wraps but prompted speculation that she may have been pregnant.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex confirmed to Fox News that they are having a second baby together.

She wrote: "After changing his [Archie's] diaper, I felt a sharp cramp".

Meghan Markle might be eyeing a political career in her home state of California, The Irish Sun reported citing Democratic Party strategist Mike Trujillo.

The Duchess of Sussex said she wrote the article about her own loss to encourage others to talk about it.
