Ghislaine Maxwell: Fourth alleged victim added to charges

The additional charges against Maxwell allege she facilitated the sex trafficking of a minor between 2001 and 2004. He killed himself at a Manhattan federal lockup in August 2019.

She said that she met Epstein and Maxwell sometime in late 2006 or early 2007 at a barbeque hosted by her employer, who knew Epstein well.

Law&Crime reached out for comment to Maxwell's lawyer Jeffrey Pagliuca and Daniel Weiner, an attorney for the executors of Epstein's estate. Prosecutors allege she recruited and groomed a 14-year-old girl so she would engage in sex with Epstein, possibly as recently as 2004. The undressing was allegedly meant to prepare the girls for engaging in sexual massage with Epstein.

The woman also claims the pair trafficked her to have sex with other men, including an unnamed local judge, and that Epstein forced her to undergo a vaginal medical procedure so he could market her as a virgin to one of his "high profile" clients.

Epstein's employees, including Maxwell at times, would call the victim from various locations at her home in Florida to set up an appointment to massage Epstein.

Charges against Maxwell include perjury, transportation of a minor with intent to engage in criminal sexual activity, conspiracy to entice minors to travel to engage in illegal sex acts, and more.

The girl ultimately brought "multiple females" including girls under the age of 18, the filing says.

The previous charges centred on claims of abuse dating back to 1994 to 1997, prior to Prince Andrew being introduced to Epstein.

In late January and early February, Maxwell filed 12 motions seeking to dismiss all or part of the government case, or at least make it more hard to win a conviction. Maxwell has appealed the bail rejections. Her trial is due to start in July but is likely to be delayed because of the pandemic and the new indictment.

They allegedly paid the girl hundreds of dollars in cash for each incident.

Ghislaine Maxwell, British socialite and Jeffrey Epstein's former girlfriend, was arrested by the Federal Bureau of Investigation on a six-count indictment in New Hampshire on Thursday (July 2).

Prosecutors say that Maxwell and Epstein recruited the minor to perform massages that became sexual at Epstein's Palm Beach home.

In the complaint, Doe describes her treatment by Epstein and his friends as "brutal" and says that her initial rape and subsequent sex trafficking occurred during the course of several months in early 2008.
