Queen Elizabeth "Delighted" Over Harry, Meghan's Daughter

Queen Elizabeth

She weighed seven pounds and 11 ounces, and is now "settling in at home".

The couple's statement said it was with "great joy" that they welcomed Lilibet "Lili" Diana Mountbatten-Windsor to the world.

Like many in her family, Prince Philip used the nickname Lilibet for the Queen. "Her middle name, Diana, was chosen to honor her beloved late grandmother, The Princess of Wales", according to the statement.

Most recently we saw the name signed on a goodbye card the Queen wrote to her husband, which was placed atop his coffin for his funeral on April 17.

The baby news was announced on the website for Meghan and Harry's Archewell foundation.

"Thank you for your continued kindness and support during this very special time for our family".

Meghan gave birth to her second child in California, at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital in Santa Barbara, making the newborn the first senior royal baby born in the United States, and the first great-grandchild of the queen to be born outside of the United Kingdom. He is known as Master Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor.

The royal couple, who are based in Santa Barbara, California, also shared the exciting news in March that they were having a daughter during their famous interview with Oprah Winfrey.

The first seven places remain unchanged: Prince Charles; Prince William; his son Prince George, his siblings Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis; Prince Harry, and his son Archie Mountbatten-Windsor.

Harry's relations with his family have reportedly deteriorated after his criticism of royal family members including his father Prince Charles.

"Grateful, having any child, any one or a two would have been unbelievable, but to have a boy and then a girl. now we've got our family and we've got four of us", proud dad Harry stated.

Meghan, 39, announced she was expecting a girl during an explosive USA television interview in March with Oprah Winfrey, in which she accused the royal family of racism and said she had felt suicidal in the early days of her marriage.

One local schoolchild asked the duchess if she'd name the baby Amy if it were a girl, to which she replied, "That's a really pretty name, I like it".

Meghan said her son Archie was denied a royal title by the Palace in an interview with Oprah.

"For example, the two children of the Queen's youngest son, Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex, are eligible to have the titles of His or Her Royal Highness but they are instead styled as the children of an Earl-Lady Louise and James, Viscount Severn-rather than holding royal titles".
