The arena agreement between the City of Glendale and the NHL has been extended another 31 days, according to John Shannon of Sportsnet.

The deal was set to expire today and the Arizona Republic’s Lisa Halverstadt reports the city council will hold a meeting this afternoon to go over the situation surrounding the Phoenix Coyotes. This could mean that there’s still a chance prospective Coyotes buyer Greg Jamison still could buy the team after reports indicated he was $20 million short. There’s been no word from Shane Doan either as to any decision regarding his future.
