Blue Jackets Want Bernier, King’s Asking For Johansen
There was some talk that the Columbus Blue Jackets were interested in acquiring Los Angeles Kings goalie Jonathan Bernier, and we knew the price would be high, but now there’s talk that the price is so high that it likely won’t happen.
CBC’s Elliotte Friedman hears that the Kings are asking for young forward Ryan Johansen in return, which is a piece Jackets GM Scott Howson is unwilling to part with.
If Bernier is not an option, and the Bruins won’t trade Tuukka Rask, then the Jackets may look to Nashville Predators backup Anders Lindback as a possible acquisition.
