The Boston Bruins might be interested in free-agent center Vincent Lecavalier, a league source told CSN New England’s Joe Haggerty.

The caveat for Boston’s interest is whether or not the Bruins can re-sign winger Nathan Horton. If Horton leaves Boston, Haggerty believes the Bruins could have interest in signing Lecavalier to help fill that void. The former Lightning captain will be bought out by Tampa Bay and has already been linked to the Detroit Red Wings, Montreal Canadiens, Toronto Maple Leafs, Vancouver Canucks and Chicago Blackhawks.
