Brendan Shanahan Sets First Hearing Of Season With Brayden Schenn
The NHL’s first disciplinarian hearing will take place Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. ET, when the NHL’s Brendan Shanahan chats over the phone with Philadelphia Flyers forward Brayden Schenn.
Although the hearing was not officially announced, a league source confirmed it would take place.
Schenn left his feet on a second-period hit on New Jersey Devils defenseman Anton Volchenkov, although no penalty was called on the play and it certainly wasn’t a point of emphasis in the media coverage Tuesday night.
It’s no certainty that the league would even punish Schenn, but at the very least, Shanahan wants to talk to him.
