Head coach Joel Quenneville has inked a contract extension with the Chicago Blackhawks, according to the teams official site.

The team will retain Quenneville services through the 2016-17 campaign. The decision to re-sign Quenneville was a no-brainer for Chicago. He’s led them to the Stanley Cup twice in the span of just four years, including their recent six-game victory over the Boston Bruins. He’s coached in 1,211 regular season games with St. Louis, Colorado, and Chicago and has a 660-389-77-85 record.
