Colorado Avalanche Offer Ryan O’Reilly Two-Year, $7 Million Contract
Ryan O’Reilly has reportedly been offered a two-year/$7 million contract, according to The Denver Post.
That’s the same deal that the Colorado Avalanche inked Matt Duchene to. It makes some degree of sense to try to provide him with the same offer. Both are at the same stage of their career and are x-factors. In Duchene’s case it’s because he struggled in 2011-12 while it remains to be seen if O’Reilly can build off of his breakout 55-point campaign. The problem is O’Reilly is believed to be looking for about $5 million annually. O’Reilly is currently playing in the KHL.
