Goaltender Dominik Hasek could have a hankering to return to the NHL next season.

CBC’s Elliotte Friedman relays a recent conversation he had with a reputable Czech source in regards to the ageless wonder.

“Zdenek Matejovsky of Czech station TV Nova showed me an article from newspaper “Daily Sports” indicating Dominik Hasek is in North America and wants a return to the NHL.  Hasek: ‘For sure, I know what I want, even my agent, he knows but I’m not going to make any comments.”

According to iSport.cz, potential teams in play are the Tampa Bay Lightning, Buffalo Sabres, and Detroit Red Wings.

The 47-year-old still considers himself a free agent. He played well enough for HC Spartak Moscow in 2010-11 to consider coming back to the NHL.
