Jets Likely To be Sellers
The Jets currently sit 21-20-5 overall, are 2-6 in January and Ken Wiebe on the Winnipeg Sun believes the Jets will be open for business, but that is will not be a fire sale and General Manager Kevin Cheveldayoff isn’t going to be giving players away just for the sake of making changes.
The Jets roster currently includes eight pending unrestricted free agents and another four restricted free agents, which leaves the door open for considerable turnover in 2012-13.
Many of the pending UFAs include goalie Chris Mason, forwards Jim Slater, Tanner Glass and Kyle Wellwood and defenseman Johnny Oduya could draw some interest on the open market, if available.
The Jets RFA’s include goalie Ondrej Pavele, forwards Evander Kane and Eric Fehr and defenseman Paul Postma.
