The General Manager of the Winnipeg Jets won’t rule out making a deal ahead of the trade deadline. The Winnipeg Free Press reports Jets General Manager Kevin Cheveldayoff is still evaluating his squad.

“We’re in the same situation as many teams,” Cheveldayoff said. “We’re always looking to see what’s available out there.” At the season’s mid-way mark, the Jets are one point out of eighth in the East with a 20-16-5 record.

“Sometimes the opportunities present themselves and you feel you have to act. But there haven’t been any of those come up yet. To say when and where, that’s hard to speculate.”
