The Montreal Canadiens have settled on Michel Therrien as their next coach, according to TSN’s Darren Dreger.

Dreger notes that the announcement will be made in the next 24 to 48 hours. Therrien was the coach of the Canadiens from 2000 until 2003, advancing to the playoffs in the middle campaign, before getting fired after 46 games in the 2002-03 season. Two years later, he began a reign of about four years with the Penguins, losing in the Cup Final in 2008. He was fired after a 27-25-5 start the next season.
More to come.
