Poised to become an unrestricted free agent in the offseason, center Dominic Moore could be an appealing trade commodity at the deadline if the Tampa Bay Lightning doesn’t sign the center to an extension. Which is still possible, according to ESPN.com’s Pierre LeBrun, since there have already been talks to that end.

“Yes, we have had discussions, so we’ll see what happens,” Moore’s agent Larry Kelly told ESPN.com Tuesday.

If both sides can’t hammer out a deal soon LeBrun suggests the Pittsburgh Penguins could be one of several contenders interested in the hard-working, two-way forward.
