New York Islanders forward Colin McDonald is scheduled to have a disciplinary hearing with league officials this morning at 10:45am et for his hit from behind on Ben Lovejoy of the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Late in the second period, Lovejoy was retrieving a loose puck in the corner of his own zone when McDonald hit him from behind into the boards. Lovejoy was not injured on the play. McDonald was assessed a major penalty for boarding and a game misconduct.
