Update: According to Kevin Allen of USAToday, Terry Bross says Doan will likely whittle his list of suitors to “four, five or six clubs” as he determines what step to take next. The Arizona Republic suggests that list could include the Los Angeles Kings, San Jose Sharks,Detroit Red Wings, Chicago Blackhawks, and Vancouver Canucks.

July 10th: The Vancouver Canucks are among the teams in the mix for Shane Doan, according to his agent.

The Detroit Red Wings and Philadelphia Flyersare also among the teams that are believed to have interest in Doan. He’d be a great fit for any number of teams as he can be counted on to get about 50 points while providing a physical presence.Shane Doan’s agent, Terry Bross, has confirmed that the Detroit Red Wings are among the teams his client is considering signing with. Detroit is looking to make a splash after failing to sign Ryan Suter or Zach Parise this summer.
Shane Doan wants to play in the Western Conference, according to a CSNNE.com source. The Vancouver Canucks and Detroit Red Wings have already been confirmed as potential destinations for Doan. It sounds like the San Jose Sharks and Los Angeles Kings can be counted as potential suitors as well.
