Zach Parise the highly sought after free agent winger told reporters Monday that he still needs to mull over the offers on the table.

“I’m getting closer but haven’t made a decision,” said Parise. “I haven’t set any deadlines.”

Parise is considered the most attractive forward on the free-agent market.

The 27-year-old Devils captain had 31 goals and 69 points in 82 games last season.

He’s spent his entire NHL career in New Jersey, scoring 194 goals and 410 points in 502 games.

“We have thoroughly deliberated every option with Zach,” Parise’s agent Wade Arnott told TSN. “He wishes to take some time to step back and review all with his fiance and his family. We could be drawing closer to a decision.”
