• The Edmonton Oilers have signed Jujhar Khaira to a three-year, entry-level deal, per NHL.com. He registered six goals and 25 points in 37 games with Michigan Tech last season. The Oilers selected Khaira in the third round, 63rd overall, of the 2012 draft.
  • The Anaheim Ducks have signed a multi-year affiliation agreement with the Utah Grizzlies of the ECHL. Anaheim’s previous ECHL affiliations have been in Fort Wayne (2012-13), Elmira (2010-12), Bakersfield (2008-10) and Augusta (2006-08). The Grizzlies posted a 29-30-4-9 record last season.
  • Sam Reinhart, who is currently projected to go first overall in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft, got off to a strong start with Canada at the USA Hockey National Junior Evaluation Camp. He scored a goal in Canada’s 5-3 victory against Finland. The two countries are playing exhibition games versus the United States and Sweden in order to gain recognition for possible roster spots for the 2014 IIHF World Junior Championship.
