• Josh Cooper of the Tennessean reports, the Nashville Predators are at least willing to listen if other clubs want to make a move up to pick in the top five on June 30. They’re not exactly setting out with the intention of trading down though. “We’ll entertain offers. We’ve already had people inquire with us about it and vice-versa,” assistant general manager Paul Fenton pointed out. “We’ll talk about whatever position that can improve us for the whole big picture of things. In order to move up to that position, you’re going to have to make an offer that you can’t refuse.”
  • The Chicago Blackhawks have agreed to terms on an entry-level contract with standout free agent Finnish goaltender Antti Raanta.

    The 6-foot, 24-year-old goalie had a breakout season this year in the Finnish Elite League, where he was the regular-season and playoff MVP.

    In 45 games with Assat Pori, he was 21-10-11 with a .943 save percentage. He also started for Finland in the World Championships, where he finished 4-3 with a 2.09 goals-against average and .928 save percentage.

  • The Tampa Bay Lightning have added NHL coaching veteran Rick Bowness to the position of associate coach on head coach Jon Cooper’s staff.
