NHL Signing: Carolina Hurricanes Sign Jeremy Welsh To Two-Year Deal
The Carolina Hurricanes have inked Jeremy Welsh to a two-year deal, per the Raleigh News & Observer.
Welsh was a restricted free agent. In 2012-13, Welsh will earn $700,000 at the NHL level or $105,000 in the minors. He’ll make $1 million in 2013-14 regardless of where he plays. Welsh had 27 goals and 44 points in 40 NCAA games last season. He’s worth keeping a close eye on during Carolina’s training camp.
