T.J. Oshie has signed a five-year contract extension with the St. Louis Blues.

Oshie will earn an average of $4.175 annually over the course of the deal. By agreeing to this deal, the two sides have made their scheduled Friday arbitration hearing moot. This is a reasonable deal for Oshie in this market, especially when you factor in that St. Louis was below the salary floor before this signing.
Oshie sent out the following message on his Twitter account late Thursday: “Couldn’t be more happy to resign for another 5 years with the Blues. #bestfansever @StLouisBlues”
