Darren Dreger is reporting that the Winnipeg Jets have signed Olli Jokinen to a two year, $9 million dollar contract.

Jokinen was previously with the Calgary Flames and had 61 points (23 goals & 38 assists) in 2011-12.

The native of Kuopio, Finland has played in 1,042 career NHL games since 1997 with Los Angeles Kings, New York Islanders, Florida Panthers, Phoenix Coyotes, New York Rangers, and Calgary Flames. In that time, he’s scored 683 points (292G, 391A) and collected 967 penalty minutes. His best season came in 2006-07 when he scored 91 points (39G, 51A). Jokinen has played in six career Stanley Cup playoff games where he’s scored five points (2G, 3A) and four penalty minutes.

He was originally drafted by the Los Angeles Kings in the first round, third overall, in the 1997 NHL Draft.
