NHL Trade Rumors: Columbus Blue Jackets Inquire On The Availability Of Jonathan Bernier
The Columbus Blue Jackets have inquired as to the availability of Jonathan Bernier, according to the Columbus Dispatch.
Bernier asked to be traded for the second time this week after making a similar request at the trade deadline in February. He is blocked in by Los Angeles Kings standout Jonathan Quick and does not want to continue to spend most of the season on the bench. The Blue Jackets recently acquired Sergei Bobrovsky from the Flyers to try and stop their goaltending woes but Bernier would be a definite upgrade on both Bobrovsky and Steve Mason.
