NHL Trade Rumors: Evander Kane’s Agent Refutes Speculation Of Trade Demand
Contract negotiations may not be progressing as smoothly as many would like, but that doesn’t mean Evander Kane wants to end his relationship with the Winnipeg Jets either. As reported by the Winnipeg Sun, Kane’s agent refuted recent speculation that his client had demanded a trade.
“No truth to it,” Craig Oster of Newport Sports texted Friday afternoon.
A spokesman for the Jets echoed that sentiment.
There’s been very little apparent progress since the Winnipeg club reportedly made the 21-year-old winger a six-year, $29-million offer in July. There’s word Kane’s representatives want a deal similar to the one Jeff Skinner signed with the Carolina Hurricanes (six-year, $34.35 million).
