Philadelphia Flyers Want To Re-Sign Matt Carle, Out Of Races For Ryan Suter And Justin Schultz
According to Sam Carchidi of the Philadelphia Inquirer, re-signing Matt Carle is now at the top of the Philadelphia Flyers to-do list. Philadelphia has made it clear they want him back, and Carle hasn’t really hidden the fact that he’d like to return. The problem has been the fact that the Flyers can’t actually re-sign him until after noon on July 1 because of salary cap restrictions. Still, there is a prevailing feeling that a deal could very well get done by Sunday night.
If that’s the case, GM Paul Holmgren doesn’t foresee his team pursuing any other blueliners. Which would effectively take Philadelphia out of the races for Ryan Suter and Justin Schultz.
