Ryan O’Reilly And KHL Mutually Terminate Contract, Deal Soon With Colorado Avalanche?
Ryan O’Reilly and KHL Metallurg have reportedly mutually agreed to terminate his contract, according to The Denver Post.
This will give Metallurg time to sign a replacement before that window closes on January 31.
However, O’Reilly also reportedly “aggravated” a foot injury in his last KHL contest and it’s not clear how serious that is. Dmitry Chesnokov on Twitter ”O’Reilly and his KHL club terminated his contract. He is negotiating a return to the NHL.” O’Reilly is a restricted free agent and this could signal that the Colorado Avalanche are close to re-signing O’Reilly.
