Sean O’Donnell Retires After 17 Year Career
After 1,224 regular season games in the NHL, veteran defenseman Sean O’Donnell is calling it a career.
The 41-year-old spent last season with the Chicago Blackhawks, playing in 51 games and recording seven assists.
O’Donnell, who won the Stanley Cup as a member of the Anaheim Ducks in 2006-07, played with nine teams during his 17-year career.
The stay-at-home defenseman leaves the game with 31 goals and 198 assists in the regular season.
