Erik Karlsson will be a restricted free agent this summer, but the Ottawa Senators are trying to get him re-signed far before then. Senators General Manager Bryan Murray tells the Ottawa Sun that he’s starting contract talks with Karlsson’s agent next week, and Garrioch predicts Karlsson will end up making at least $5 million a season.
