Steve Sullivan will almost certainly retire this summer, according to Timmins Daily Press. “I wouldn’t say 100%, but 99.9%,” Sullivan said. “I’ve had an unbelievable run.” Even still, he’s still training as if he’s going to play next season, so if a team makes him an offer, he will likely give it serious consideration. He had seven goals and 17 points in 42 games with the Phoenix Coyotes and New Jersey Devils last season. He surpassed the 1,000 game milestone in 2013 and has 747 career points.

Sullivan was drafted by the New Jersey Devils in the 9th round of the 1994 NHL Entry Draft. He played for 8 teams over his 16 season in the NHL.
