NHL Signing: Vancouver Canucks Sign Mason Raymond To One-Year Contract Extension

Mason Raymond signed a one-year/$2.75 million contract extension with the Vancouver Canucks. After recording 53 points in 2009-10, Raymond has fallen down to just 20 points in 55 contests last season. He’ll need to bounce back in 2012-13 if he wants to get a big contract in the summer of 2013.

Canucks/Ducks Trade Rumor

Discussed by the Vancouver Province, there’s talk of a potential trade involving the Vancouver Canucks and Anaheim Ducks. Apparently General Manager Mike Gillis would send goaltender Cory Schneider, forward Mason Raymond and defenseman Keith Ballard south in exchange for forward Corey Perry.
