• Vancouver  Canucks have signed prospect Hunter Shinkaruk to an entry-level contract, according to The Vancouver Sun. He was chosen with the 24th overall pick in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft. Shinkaruk is currently skating at Team Canada’s world junior hockey summer camp. He probably won’t be playing in the NHL next season, but the Canucks will likely give him a look at training camp.
  • Bo Horvat has agreed to an entry-level deal with the Vancouver Canucks, according to The Vancouver Sun. The Canucks chose Horvat with the ninth overall pick in the 2013 draft. They acquired that selection from New Jersey in exchange for goaltender Cory Schneider. He will get an opportunity to stick with Vancouver in 2013-14 and could be an interesting player to watch at training camp.
  • There haven’t been any talks recently between restricted free agent Chris Tanev and the Vancouver Canucksaccording to News1130 Sports on Twitter. Tanev’s agent Ross Gurney said there’s no update in the situation, so this could be a situation that progresses slowly. It was reported last month that neither side was in a rush to get a new deal done and that still appears to be the case.
  • Darren Archibald has re-signed with Vancouver Canucks, according to  Darren Archibald on Twitter. Terms were not announced, but it looks like a one year deal. He announced via Twitter that he was; “Proud to be apart of the @VanCanucks organization for another year. Excited for the upcoming season.” He had 22 point and 47 penalty minutes in 55 games with the AHL’s Chicago Wolves last year. Archibald, 23, hasn’t played in an NHL contest yet.
